In 2014, Mackenzie’s identified that Fremantle Ports lacked mid-range bollard pull tugs and an alternative tug and lines boat operator for ship owners and agents to utilise.

Fremantle Ports subsequently granted Mackenzie’s a towage licence after an initial trial period, with harbour towage and lines boat operations officially commencing in 2014 in the Inner and Outer Harbour.

Our fleet has been built to include tugs, barges, work punts, pontoons, crew transfer and survey vessels which gives flexibility to undertake a wider range of marine related jobs and projects. Mackenzie’s relish the opportunity to solve our client’s complex problems.

Port of Bundaberg and Port Alma - Queensland

Mackenzie’s in conjunction with Pacific Tugs have commenced a new partnership operating as Wide Bay Shipping Services which now services Port of Bundaberg and Port Alma.

Mackenzie’s supplied the King Bay, a 54 tonne bollard pull tug and Pacific Tugs supplied a matching vessel.

Since its inception the fleet has increased to two more vessels. They are operating with great success in assisting the two ports and clients are increasing the ship movements and trade through the ports.
